I  work as managing editor at Appen Media, a hyper-local community news operation covering  Forsyth County and North Fulton cities of Milton, Alpharetta, Johns Creek and Roswell.

In today's media saturated environment, readers are looking for connections and experiences. As a community journalist, I have a hard job of bridging gaps of information and empowering readers.

I think of a story as personal, whether it's told in print, video, audio and words. I know the importance of interacting with individuals and really listening to consumers, which is crucial to how I cover  law enforcement, business, health, education, technologies and digital lifestyles.
